How to Use Imodium Classic Capsules
For Adults and Children Aged 12 and Over:
- Take 2 capsules initially.
- Follow up with 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement.
- Do not exceed 6 capsules per day.
For IBS Diarrhoea (Aged 18 and Over):
- Take 2 capsules to control an episode.
- Depending on the severity of the symptoms, take 1 or 2 capsules after each loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day.
If the diarrhoea persists for more than 24 hours, or the IBS symptoms last longer than 2 weeks, consult the doctor.
Important Warnings and Precautions
Do not use Imodium if:
- allergic to any of its ingredients.
- there is severe diarrhoea following antibiotic use.
- experiencing a flare-up of ulcerative colitis.
- constipated or have a swollen stomach, especially in dehydrated children.
- the child is under 12 years old.
Before using, consult the doctor if:
- there is symptoms of acute dysentery, such as blood in the stools or a high fever.
